Welcome to the Caribbean.

Stretching from the southern coast of florida to the northern tip of south America, the Caribbean Antilles are loosely sandwiched between the gulf of mexico, central america on the west and the north atlantic ocean on the east...

...The west Indies, as this part of the Americas is usually called comprise four large islands, twenty two or so isles and thousands of islets, cayes and coral reefs. These are beautiful land formations, mountainous for the most part, bathed in a lukewarm climate and often showered by heavy tropical rain. The Caribbean islands arc offers a variety of sceneries, from exotic lush vegetation jungles to desertic and grassy landscapes echoing the African savanna. All this tropical habitat is all year long caressed by the temperate sea breeze from the blue Caribbean waters.

A trip to the West indies is a surprising adventure in learning. The islands present a multifaceted, yet integrated culture that developed from a people sharing common ancestry ( in the great majority ), similar artistic traditions and religious customs. Haiti for exemple is shrouded in a fog of religious mystery that has captivated the imagination of foreigners for centuries. Each island presents various individual aspects that are specific to its historical experience while keeping common, ancestral traits that bind it to all the other islands in a cultural unit as one nation.

In all the islands, shop in the local street markets where you will find fabulous native paintings, African inspired sculptures, and various other crafts and artworks made with pride and inspired skills.

The west indies offer a delightful cuisine that draws from traditional African cooking recipes mixed with the herbs and spicy culinary practices of India Enjoy a hearty, delicious soup from Trinidad full with colorful vegetables in well seasoned broth. It will titillate your appetite with that clovy aroma. Try the traditional spicy curry goat in Jamaica. What about that delicious conch with okra topping a savory plate of rice and beans in Port au prince, Haiti. You will definitely like island “ patisserie” in Martinique which joins the taste of Paris gourmet bakery with tropical fruits, sweets.and Caribbean rhum.
